SERVICES
I specialize in treating professionals, students and parents who struggle with the self-destructive side of perfectionism, over-achievement, and the "trying to do it all" mentality. Most of them are bright, driven, hardworking and successful in many areas of their lives. At the same time, they can struggle with a flip side to the success, which is often anxiety, depression, self-doubt, feeling overwhelmed and loss of control, sacrificing their health and relationships, fear of failure and procrastination. These issues can also manifest in the form of struggles with eating and weight.
Being the do-gooders, people-pleasers, do-it-yourselfers and strong, independent people that they are, many have experienced a series of "breakdowns" before they are ready to seek help. If you have made it this far, congratulations on taking the first important and courageous step on your journey towards healing and thriving.
Using a warm, empathic and collaborative approach, we work together to use the many strengths and positive qualities you already have to help you find relief from stress and move forward in your life with less fear and greater freedom. I use a blend of self-compassion, "brain training", mindfulness, and other evidence-based techniques and therapies to lead you towards self-acceptance, confidence, authenticity, and true purpose.
I provide individual and family therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. See below for a list of my specialty areas.
